Gagal MoveOn - Akihabara & Mugiwara Store Shibuya

another Gagal MoveOn series.

so it's 23.31 now, and i'm still here reminiscing about one of my Alhamdulillah moment.

yep. Akihabara.
my first time being in touch with anime was when i'm a Junior High School student. or was it senior?
i don't really remember.
i mean, yeah, i do watch Doraemon, Saint Saiya, but the one that stole my heart is Naruto. with Akeboshi's Wind, plus the forever awesome Kakashi Hatake.

but that's it, i love to watch the show, but then it was discontinued. at first i felt sad, but honestly later on i kinda forgot about it.
eventhough i was so eager in watching it. haha

and then when i went to college, one of my friends told me about One Piece, but unfortunately i wasn't really into it because the awkward drawing. i mean, human rubber? like, really?
and then another friend of mine showed me the university's students' paradise.
Internet Cafe.

it has a looot of anime. and then i found it. i found my lost love, Naruto.
so i copied it and i watch it in my room.
and guess what, just by hearing Akeboshi's wind, i cried. yep i cried. no s**t, huh. it just felt nostalgic.

and then when i failed my final exam, i stayed in my room, and in two weeks i finished One Piece from episode #1 to #200something, i forgot. and i found another love.
Tony Tony Chopper. the forever cute doctor.

after i officially became an employee, the first thing i bought is a secondhand Chopper figure. it's quite big.
and then next thing i know, i became Chopper Figure Addict. i've been to Kaskus, Ebay (my favorit), Bukalapak, even Tokopedia.

so it was just natural that i came to term Akiba. or Akihabara.
the Otaku paradise. in Japan. where all anime came from.

so it was just natural that i wanted to come to Japan.
it was totally natural that i wanted to visit Akihabara.

then..
yep. Alhamdulillah, directly from Haneda Airport.

Akihabara Station

my friend and i still have our backpack with us, and it was kinda hard to walk around with it, so we decided to put it in a coin locker near the station.
the information/tourist center in Akihabara Station really helpful. they gave us an english map of Akihabara for free, and they can speak english as well

it was still early in the morning so most of the stores were still closed.

since the wind was quite strong and we were cold, we decided to warm ourselves up. where?
the place where i found the most delicious french fries i ever ate. or maybe it was just the excitement speaking. haha
Gundam Cafe - Akihabara

after warming up, we began to move, since we thought maybe the stores already open.
there are a lot of anime stores there. i can't even decided where to begin. so we just kinda going to the farthest first and then going into any stores we passed on the way back to the station.

first we went to Akihabara crossfield. little did i know that it was the same place where one of Steins Gate's scene based on. nice.
Tokyo Anime Center - Fourth Floor of the UDX building in Akihabara Crossfield
but i didn't find any Chopper there.

i forgot the store's name, but it was kinda sucks that the Chopper that i want is the one that's "Not For Sale". sigh.
actually there were more than 5 stores that we visited but i didn't took pictures in most of them. i was too focused on finding a worthy Chopper to spend money on. but then i finally found the place.

it was just there. saying that Japanese Anime Goods Shop, 2F. Alhamdulillah i noticed it. >_<

Akiba 1131 building. that's the lift to go to 2nd floor.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
yep. and i spend quite a lot there. haha
we also stops at Adores, Animate and Mandarake as well. but nothing really caught my eyes there.

actually, there's Tokyo One Piece Tower in Tokyo Tower, but its pricey. it's a theme park, and i bet it's awesome. but it's pricey. 3.200 yen for adults. well i prefer to spend those money on Chopper figure.
so, to heal my thirst of Chopper, we went to Mugiwara Store in Shibuya.

we got lost a bit, but the scenery and the street in Shibuya is somehow unique, that i even enjoy being lost. it felt unreal and i thought i was lost in anime or Jdorama's scene.
we thought that Mugiwara Store is a building itself, but it turns out that it's located inside PARCO shopping center, on the 6th floor. it's free. :D

my friend wanted to go to the restroom when i noticed this cute lovable footprints.
and guess who i found at the end of the footprints.

Happy!!!

so, these are the Chopper-y things that i bought from Akihabara and Mugiwara Store. i forgot the price, sorry. noted that i even treasured the plastic bag i got from Mugiwara Store. oh, actually i got one gift from a friend who visited Tokyo One Piece Tower, and i also asked for the plastic bag, haha.

i don't think i have the heart to use it properly.

ah, the frame is custom made. i ordered it when i arrived in Jakarta.
this one is a gift from Tokyo One Piece Tower.

so, it's already 1.00.
i guess i need some sleep.

well, overall,,
the only thing that i could say is.. Alhamdulillah.
